The Wind Chill Index Factor offers users an automated weather calculation tool, utilizing the localization features of iPhone and iPad, provided there is internet access. Users can simply press the Fetch button for immediate results.

Designed to measure the perceived temperature outdoors, this tool calculates the impact of wind on air temperature. It is important to note that while the wind chill factor does not lower the actual air temperature, it accelerates the sensation of cooling in relation to wind speed.

The application utilizes both the traditional Wind Chill Factor model, based on formulas used prior to 2001, and the updated Wind Chill Index established by the National Weather Service in 2001. Calculations are performed to two decimal places for enhanced precision.

Users can input air temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, with wind speed options including Knots, Miles per Hour, and Kilometers per Hour.
